  April 10th and 11th, 2010 (at the same place than the Quebec 4on4 Championship: you'll have the chance to see the top 12 Quebec teams in action!)

• Teams are usually composed of 5 men and 3 women
• Two days tournament
• Stade du Haut Richelieu (synthetic indoor field)
• Organisation is shared with Ultimate St-Jean
• $150 teams fees or 20$ per individual registration, lunch included
• Accomodation and diner at low cost
• Pay by cheque to the AUM (mailed to 2194, avenue De LaSalle, suite 210, H1V 2K8)

First edition of the Montreal junior Festival Estival (the FEUJM)

The first edition of the FEUJM took place Saturday, May 30th on the Douglas hospital fields.  Five teams consisting entirely of school aged players played in the rain, the wind and the sun!  Lots of fun and a lot of talent.

Congratulations to all the teams for their performance, and in particular to the MVPs (Harry Warshaw, Sarya Majdalani, Dany Bilodeau, Lissa Ty, Raven Ramos, Rose Caroline Gagné, Kathy Gagnon, Stéphanie Sibley, Yossraa Ben Hsain, Alexandre Côté-Sergent, Jenny Zhu)

JUNIOR: Pictures of the first Junior Provincial Tournament!!

Attention all small, and not so small, players.

The AUM is redoubling its efforts to develop Junior Ultimate in Montreal.

Our aim is to get at least one junior team registered for the Summer 2009 League. The team will play every Monday & Tuesday night.

The team will be coached by none other than Ghislain Lévesque, coach for Team Québec (juniors) over the last few years.

We’re on the lookout for 8 guys & 6 girls per team. If you’re interested, write me

If things work well, Ghislain hopes to field a Montreal juniors team at the Canadien Ultimate Championships in Winnipeg... but we are looking even farther ahead! The Canadian Ultimate Championships in 2010 will very likely be in Sherbrooke. Montreal aims to send 2 junior teams: one elite team, and one backup team aiming to develop for the Canadian Ultimate Championships in 2011 (likely to be in Ottawa).

We have luck of having two championships in a row within two hours of Montreal, and we think that this is a terrific opportunity to really get things rolling.

Furthermore, the AUM is going to organize a day-long tournament for Junior Scholastic teams, Saturday May 30th 2009. Although we are encouraging teams to associate by educational institutions, it will not be strictly enforced this year! So, if you know teachers in High School or CEGEP, let them know that now is the time to get involved and get the kids moving! Minor initiatives for 2008-2009

• We’ve already organized a teacher’s tournament on Sunday March 2009 in order to train the teachers about the basics of Ultimate.
• In the End Of Season Tournament, the ‘Juniors Machines’ won the Intermediate category.
• Participation in the AUM’s Beginning Of Season Tournament.
• Organization of the Provincial Scholastic Tournament the June 6th & 7th June 2008.
• Organization of the Montreal Juniors Indoor Tournament April 11th 2008.
• Coaches Clinic by the Ultimate Players Association (UPA) with 40 participants from Quebec.
