CQU4

In the early 2000s, the first 4vs4 ultimate tournaments began in different regions of Quebec. In 2003, the first editions of several now well known tournaments took place: Coup de Foudre in Sherbrooke, Mars Attaque in Quebec, and Bye Bye in Trois-Rivières. Between 10 and 16 teams took part in each of these tournaments. In 2005, Rimouski organized the La Flotte tournament, which brought together a record 24 teams! In 2011, Mars Attaque had 88 teams participating, including almost 850 ultimate players!

The Circuit Québécois d’Ultimate 4vs4 (CQU4) was established during the 2007-2008 season. At the time, the best 8 teams based on the rankings of the Fédération Québécoise d’Ultimate (FQU) were invited to participate in the first Quebec 4vs4 Ultimate Championships. That year, the four major events (Bye Bye, La Flotte, Coup de Foudre and Mars Attaque) were the qualifying tournaments. In the following years, more tournaments were added to the circuit: Fun-E-Nuf, La Virée, Movember and Oktoberdisk. Please visit the FQU website for all the information regarding the CQU4.
