⇒Are you looking for an introductory activity?
The AUM organizes pickup games throughout the summer season. These activites, generally occuring on Sunday afternoons, are open to everyone and allow Montrealers to try ultimate frisbee, with absolutely no commitment other than to have fun!
⇒ Are you looking for introductory and/or skills clinics?
In the period leading up to the sumer season, the AUM organizes introductory and skills clinics, run by experienced players. During these clinics, the host players will teach proper playing techniques, and you can work on your throws under the eagle-eyed supervision of our coaches!
These clinics are open to all members of the AUM, regardless of their level of play. Our invited experts will divide the participants into various levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Everyone will learn something at these clinics. They are free, and there is no requirement to register! We look forward to seeing you.
⇒ Are you looking for a beginner level team in one of our leagues?
The AUM runs many leagues throughout the year.
For outdoor leagues (spring, summer and fall), we provide for the creation of pick-up teams, which means that we allow individual registration. Once there are enough players registered to create a team, we assign a captain/coach to these players and we add the new team to the regular league. Please see the information for each of these leagues to learn how and when to register.
For our indoor leagues, many of our locations offer individual registration. Once registered, players are grouped in teams and play against each other. For true beginners, we encourage you to participate in our development league, which includes skills clinics and games. It is a great way to learn how to play!
⇒ Are you looking for a league team?
As mentioned above (beginner level team), the AUM creates teams of individuals for most of its leagues. This makes it easy for a player to find a team to join. However, the caliber of these teams is generally at a beginner or intermediate level.
If you are looking for a higher caliber team, we invite you to consult the FORUM. Many of the league teams who are looking for players post announcements on the boards. You can answer a post from a captain, or post your own notice! To use the forum, you must be a registered user of the website; you don't need to be an AUM member to use the forum.
⇒ Would you like to join a team for tournaments?
The AUM organizes a number of tournaments each year. In all cases, registration takes place by team, but we can help pair you to a team looking for players. You can use our FORUM to read posts from captains (or post one yourself!)
Also, check the information on each tournament page (see the Events Menu -> Tournaments). Teams looking to pick up players will be listed.
⇒ Are you interested in playing for a competitive team in Montreal?
There are many competitive club teams in Montreal. All of these teams are joined under the banner of the Montréal Ultimate Clubs Compétitifs (MUCC). The competitives teams hold their tryouts in the spring, and their tournament calendars generally run from the beginning of May to the end of October. We have womens, open, mixed, masters (33 years and up) and junior (18 years or less) teams.
All of our MUCC teams update their profile on the Competitive Ultimate page and can be contacted at the provided email address.
For any other specific requests, we ask you to communicate with our League Manager. You will receive an answer by email within 2 working days!
