HAT Tournament

Sunday, July 24th was held the first tournament hosted by the AUM on his own field at Père-Marquette Park. It was a HAT tournament (individual registration) in which the theme was the season of birth. This recreational tournament, focusing on the pure pleasure of Ultimate, helped to assist and financially support Head and Hands. In addition, this tournament provided an opportunity for additional games to the AUM members, and was also an opportunity for some curious person who wants to know more about the sport of Ultimate. Indeed, in a friendly atmosphere where we can feel the spirit of the game, some experienced players did not hesitate to take charge of the novices, teaching strategies, rules and techniques of play.

Four teams (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter) played during the day, and each team have played a total of 4 games. In the end, it is the Summer team (yellow) who won top honors.

In order to provide an opportunity for additonal game to their members, the AUM is proud to announce a friendly and recreational Ultimate tournament on Sunday, July 24! This is a HAT tournament, focusing on the pure pleasure of Ultimate. In addition, this tournament will help to assist and financially support Head and Hands. This is an opportunity for a different kind of play, with individual registration. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, you are welcome to the first tournament organized by the AUM at the Parc Père-Marquette. Many prizes (discs, caps, dodgbee), and a reward to the team that demonstrated the best sportsmanship, will be given out on site.

Here is all the important information about this tournament:

• When: Sunday, July 24
• Where: Père Marquette Park
• Format: Possibility of 8 teams, 3 to 4 games during the day, 5 women and 7 men minimum per team
• Schedule: from 9 AM to 4 PM
• Cost: 20$ per active AUM member, and 25$ for non members. You should bring the exact payment (check or cash) and give it to Philippe Poitras BEFORE your first game on Sunday.
• All proceeds will be donated to H & H
